Greenlandic stories

The four stories appearing here for the first time in Hebrew were selected from Henry Rink's book, which was published in 1875. In his book, Rink compiled about 150 stories of the Inuit people that he collected during his years in Greenland. From these fascinating stories we selected the ones suitable for children and added illustrations and explanations about the Inuit people and their lives. The stories describe events that really happened, although you may find it hard to believe that such miraculous things actually happened. The illustrations, the fruit of in-depth study, provide a view of the landscapes foreign to us and the unfamiliar ways of life, and reflect those days: the clothing, the shape of the houses and the objects. To increase enjoyment and knowledge you will find at the end of the book an illustrated glossary with explanations of concepts and animals that appear in the stories. The book is intended for children aged 8 and over, but the stories are not necessarily children's stories, and adults can also enjoy them. 0.260 kg 22.4 × 14.5 × 1.2 cm
