The confused Wabi Sabi therefore set out on a quest to find the true meaning of her name. Using concise text and haiku poems, Mark Ribstein weaves a wondrous story that finds true beauty in unexpected places. Artist illustrator Ed Young complements the lyrical text with breathtaking collages. Mark Ribstein is an English teacher and author. When he lived in Kyoto he had a cat friend named Wabi Sabi. Today he lives near San Francisco with his daughter and a friend's cat named Arlo. When illustrator Ed Young was young, he hoped to "disappear" into his own world and breathed life into it with his illustrations. Since then he has already illustrated more than 70 books and won the prestigious Caldecott Medal. He lives with his daughters, even though you heard at the time he "disappeared".
