The Gardener's Year - Karl Chapak

A gardener is not born from a cutting, a seed, an onion or a tuber, as it seems, but is created from experience, from the environment and from the conditions of nature.
As long as I was a small child, I had a rebellious and even malicious attitude towards my father's garden, because I was forbidden to step on the beds and pick unripe fruit.
In the same way, the first Adam was forbidden to step on the beds in Paradise and to pick fruits from the tree of knowledge because they were not yet ripe.
But the first Adam - just like us, the children - picked an unripe fruit and was therefore expelled from Paradise.
Since then the fruit of knowledge has always been and will always be unripe.
