If a heart falls

Am Lev Nofal is the second book of poems by the poet and editor Yonit Naaman (When we came down from the trees, 2014).

The poems of the book express the process of disillusionment she went through.

From the challenges of living alone and raising a child in shared parenting while struggling financially, and thanks to the confidence in her natural feminist position, she allows herself to amuse herself with longing for the old order, a world where there is a man who provides, and the woman is the one who takes care of her. And alongside the longing for what was perceived as normal lived the clear knowledge that such a life she was not capable of living.

The book includes four covers drawn by the artist Chen Sheesh.
